The Beaufort Journal

I owned the end-to-end process of ‘The Beaufort Journal’, a video series that involved me interviewing British tastemakers in their home or studio.

Planning & Art Direction

  • Planned and coordinated the shoot, negotiating with the talent and photographer

  • Created a detailed shot plan to ensure we captured a range of activities to be included in both the stills and the interview video

  • Worked with the photographer on the day to set up each shot including the location of the interview

  • Conducted the interview

  • Worked closely with the photographer during the video-editing process to refine the final output

  • Designed and built the associated web pages and emails

  • Managed final approvals and sign-off with the talent

Branding

  • Developed the visual identity for The Beaufort Journal series, creating cohesive branding applied across all website, social, email, and advertising assets

  • The typography draws inspiration from the iconic lettering of London street signs, subtly reinforcing Beaufort & Blake’s ‘Distinctively British’ brand tag line

  • The colour is a shade of Beaufort & Blake blue, chosen for its timeless, heritage and classic look
